Homeschooling is tiresome but more like fun!

Since the pandemic has started, every parent's want their children to continue learning while being safe. That was when homeschooling has become more of a need of most rather than being a choice or a personal choice of parents due to some unavoidable reasons.

As a mother of a 9-year old and a 6-year old children, it has been a need for me to home-school them. It is very important that they are continuously learning. I understand it would be difficult to face it as parents alone but we parents are their first teacher after all, right? These children still has a lot to learn and even if the world is on chaos, children are still learning.

We teach them not only the subjects in school but we also teach them practical skills. I admit that homeschooling right now is really difficult. You will need all your energy, all your efforts, time and patience. But this all will be difficult if you will not give your heart to it.

It was just lately that I have realized how much effort teachers are putting in just so they can provide the best education to all students. There are 3 kids in our home currently. An incoming grade 4, incoming grade 3 and an incoming grade 1. Everyday is a struggle so I put a lot of effort on how I can teach these kids what they should know from the books and from life. I still use their previous books for activities but it seemed like they're really not that interested with their books. So I looked up online for some printables and I have found so many activities online and printable too. The first site I have acquired the activities is from the DepEd's ( Department of Education) programs. I have printed different kinds of worksheets from there. Then I have also found different kinds of activities from facebook pages. Some are from parents who have also found their sources and some have been shared by other friends. I have been printing and using these for these kids. Then one day I was about to summarize a science topic then it suddenly came to me that I should make it more interesting and so I made a PowerPoint presentation. That ate my whole day, just making the PowerPoint presentation on one lesson. So I looked up online if there are other PowerPoint presentations I can use and so I found them in TeachersPayTeachers (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/)

There are a lot of websites offering help for us parents so our children will not stop learning in a more fun way. We should all prioritize these kids' learning for this will help them in their future venture as learners. Let's help their mind continuously learn the world and everything on it.
